You do not need to know whether you need an AI agent, automation, a workflow, a new integration, or something much simpler. Start with what is happening now. Tell us where work gets stuck, repeated, missed or unnecessarily manual. We will start there.
You can come to us saying:
Those are useful starting points. You do not need to turn them into an AI solution before talking to us. Tell us about the work. Not which technology you think you need.
Work through it in order. Start with the problem. Personal details come last, and only three fields are required.
We will start with the process you described, not with an assumption that you need AI. If there looks to be a useful next step, we'll be in touch. In the meantime, you can explore how we think about AI inside the sales process.
Explore Agentic Selling →We do not need:
At this stage, describe the process and systems at a high level. If we later need access to systems or information as part of agreed work, that can be handled through an appropriate process.
We are looking for the actual problem. Where is the friction? What work is being repeated? What information is required? Where are the decisions? Which systems are involved? Where does a person need to stay involved?
That could be: a process change. Conventional automation. An existing software capability. AI assistance. An AI agent. A connected workflow. Or a combination.
If it does, the next conversation starts with the workflow. Not a generic AI sales pitch.
Pick a recent sales enquiry and trace what happened. Where did it arrive? Who noticed it? What did they need to understand? What information did they look for? Where did they find it? Did they copy anything? Did they update the CRM? Who decided what happened next? Was anything prepared? Who followed up? How was the next action remembered? Did the enquiry move between people? Where did somebody have to stop and find something?
You will probably find something worth examining.
Instead of: "We want an AI sales agent." Try:
That gives us somewhere useful to begin.
You may already have: CRM workflows. Zapier or Make automations. Email sequences. Website forms. Lead routing rules. Calendar automation. Sales software. That does not mean you need to replace any of it.
AI may be useful in the gaps where somebody still needs to: Read. Interpret. Summarise. Research. Choose. Prepare. Check. Decide. Existing automation can continue handling the predictable parts.
Buy the commodity. Build the difference.
An agent can begin by doing nothing more than: reading agreed information, recommending a next step, or preparing something for review. A person can remain responsible for every action.
If the workflow later demonstrates that certain actions can safely happen within defined limits, authority can change. It does not have to. Autonomy should earn its place.
AgenticSelling.co.uk is focused on practical AI implementation for UK businesses. Typical conversations may involve:
What matters more than the sector is whether there is a real process worth improving.
If you are trying to understand: what Agentic Selling means, how AI agents work, how agents differ from automation, where humans should remain involved, or how AI might change sales, start with the Agentic Selling knowledge hub.
If you already have a sales process you want to improve, stay here.
You do not have to arrive convinced. In fact, we would rather start with: "Could AI actually help with this?" than: "We need an autonomous multi-agent system."
If AI is useful, we can identify where. If conventional automation is better, we can identify that too. If the process needs fixing before either of them, that matters first.
The inbox. The spreadsheet. The CRM update. The missing information. The forgotten follow-up. The repetitive check. The awkward handover. The task everyone puts off. The thing somebody has to remember every morning. The AI agent idea you are not quite sure about. You do not need to design the solution. Show us what is happening. We can start there.
